The Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for a data focused, forward thinking,  Analyst, Compensation to join our team in either Prince George, BC or Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the Manager, Compensation, the Analyst, Compensation will assist in the daily administration of Canfor’s global compensation program, and will coordinate and lead innovative reward programs for our client groups in Canada and the USA. They will be responsible for working collaboratively with key stakeholders at Canfor to ensure our compensation practices are engaging, and equitable within an evolving market.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify trends in compensation program utilization
  • Prepare and compile annual and ad-hoc salary compensation surveys requests
  • Assist in the administration of Global Compensation and Bonus Programs
  • Coordinate and assist in Job Code Management and System Transactions
  • Prepare reports and recommendations on compensation requests
  • Manage and maintain the job evaluation process
  • Administer internal awards and annual bonus programs



Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong desire to develop and grow within the compensation or total rewards field
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (vlookups, formulas, pivot tables, etc)
  • Able to work with confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong analytic skills with experience in financial modeling and reporting
  • High attention to detail, and high degree or accuracy
  • Able to work independently and prioritize and manage their time appropriately.



Key Qualifications:

  • University Degree and/or relevant Professional Designation (Commerce, Human Resources, CPHR, CEPS, CCP)
  • 1-2 years of relevant Compensation or Total Rewards Experience
