The Opportunity:

Integrations have become a critical component of Canfor’s business systems portfolio. Reporting to the Manager of Integration, the Integration Analyst, will design, implement, enhance, and support A2A interfaces within Canfor and B2B integration services with trading partners.

 

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

 

Analysis, Solution Definition and Support

  • Communicate with various departments to gather business requirements and specifications to map out process workflows.
  • Monitor integration support case queue to provide timely resolution of issues.  
  • Coordinate with tools vendors, consulting partners and other service providers to ensure timely resolution of issues with the integration technology stack.
  • Support, enhance, and maintain Canfor integrations to assure their availability, reliability, performance, and fit to evolving requirements. Effectively resolve production problems in a timely manner.

 

Design and Testing

  • Translate business requirements to value-added technical solutions.
  • Develop test plans, support unit and system level tests, and document results.
  • Participate in and guide user testing.
  • Design and document interface specifications, including the development of training and educational materials for use within the department and Canfor support team.

 

Project Delivery

  • Provide input into planning integration related portions of capital projects.
  • Coordinate with implementation partners, service providers, and business stakeholders to implement business requirements.
  • Provide input to Integration Manager to assist in the development of capital and operating budgets and strategic goal planning.  

 

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in implementing, optimizing and supporting business system integrations. Preference for A2A (Application Integration) and B2B (EDI).
  • Ability to design, develop, document, and support enterprise solutions utilizing proven design patterns, reference architectures, and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Software AG webMethods 9.x Integration Server and related technologies (UM, TN, Designer, MWS, Terracotta) preferred.
  • Build highly reusable, performant services and applications on the webMethods platform or equivalent that optimize conversion and growth.
  • Software AG WebMethods Integration Server clustering, patching and performance tuning experience a plus.
  • Experience in middleware and enterprise integration including XML/XSLT, Data Transformation, Integration Infrastructure and Web Services (REST/JSON, SOAP/WSDL).
  • Experience in working with EDI ANSI X12, flat files, and XML schema design and implementation
  • Experience with various protocols like AS2, HTTP/s, SFTP, FTP/s, File Polling and VAN.
  • Worked on projects that span a broad range of systems and enterprise wide complex components requiring in-depth knowledge across multiple technical environments.
  • Proven capability to accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging.
  • Strong proficiency with Oracle and SQL Server databases and toolsets (PL/SQL, TOAD, etc.)
  • Hands on experience with any of the following technologies will be an asset: JD Edwards, Oracle Transportation Management, MS SQL Server, Elixir.
  • Lumber/pulp/paper manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
