The Role:

This position requires well established organizational skills, a high level of motivation and energy, excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a fast paced team environment.

Depending on the successful candidate’s skills and interests, the ability to tailor and grow the responsibilities of the position may be available.

Skills You'll Learn:
 

  • HR Generalist experience with a focus on HR administration, recruitment, on-boarding, and policy research
  • Communications Coordinator experience with a focus on Social Media, sponsorship and donation programs, and event planning
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Working in a team environment
  • Exposure to key functions within a large, multi-national, publicly traded company

 

Potential responsibilities:
 

  • Provide HR support for the Corporate HR Director and Corporate HR Manager
  • Assist with recruitment and on-boarding processes
  • Develop an Employee Handbook
  • Support the migration of HR policies to SAP Success Factors system
  • Create content for monthly HR Lunch & Learns for corporate head office employees
  • Participate in HR initiatives & other team projects
  • HR policy research

 

Preference given to those with the following skills or experience:
 

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Comfortable editing Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
  • A keen eye for details
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and take direction well
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks
  • Ability to do on-line research in support of HR policy and governance work 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer delivery
  • Ability to meet deadlines and flexibility with work schedule are required
