Environmental Specialist

In this 18-month temporary position, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Canfor’s environmental programs for our wood products manufacturing facilities. You will help support operations, establish Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and lead the internal environmental compliance audit program. Standards and deadlines are critical aspects of this role. You will also be assisting operations in addressing compliance issues and meeting regulatory reporting requirements. You will track environmental performance and assist with discharge permit updates and environmental remediation projects. What “wood” we do without you?


Preferably, you have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field, and have experience assisting with EMS and compliance audits.
