Chip Plant Supervisor

Posting ID:     24558
Position Type:   Regular
City:   Prince George, BC, Canada
Location:   Prince George Chip Plant

You’re an industry leader who gets stuff done, and we need you at our Prince George Chip Plant for just that reason. You get people.  When you walk through that door and the urgency ramps up, you’re in it.  You’re the person who, when the going gets tough and production is on the line, can navigate this role safely and with purpose.  It’s what makes you a great leader of people and it’s what we expect of our Supervisors.

Much like yourself, Canfor doesn’t compromise.  Our Supervisors are ambassadors of their people and of the company itself.  If you’re going to be successful here, you’re going to understand the importance of balancing production, maintenance, and your team’s needs while being accountable to our safety culture. In addition to the above responsibilities, you’ll also look after our log inventory, and log quality program, maintain effective weigh scale and scaling practices, oversee the environmental responsibilities like our recycling program, and supervise log yard and chip plant employees on a day-to-day basis.

You bring several years of supervisory experience in a unionized, industrial environment, and, for bonus points, you will bring your knowledge of mobile equipment. What will really put you over the top is your willingness to get out from behind the desk, balancing your professionalism and confidence with a dash of humility. If this describes you, Canfor is the right fit for you.  Come find out why Canfor is consistently rated amongst BC’s best employers.  At Canfor, we’re innovators in the forest products industry and if you are too, it’s time to grow your career working alongside some of the best and brightest in the business.

Canfor is a global forest products company, with operations in Canada, the US, and Europe and we are committed to creating a safe and productive environment for everyone. All qualified applicants will receive equitable consideration.

At Canfor, diversity means understanding, recognizing, and valuing the differences that make each person unique. We see inclusion and diversity as an essential part of our productivity, creativity, innovation and competitive advantage. We strive for a fair and equitable recruitment process, where hiring decisions are based on the individual qualifications and experience of each applicant.

We are not your run-of-the-mill forest products company, join us and find out why. #canfortalent
