You are a Certified Millwright who knows the ins and outs of keeping a mill’s machinery up and running. You have a natural ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues and you're looking to expand your knowledge with an amazing company where safety and sustainability are the most important priorities. This is your opportunity to use your Red Seal technical chops, communication, and troubleshooting skills to keep our modern sawmill running at peak performance. You will be working alongside the best and brightest in the business with an innovative leader in the forest products industry. This role is a fulltime schedule with varying shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
The life of the Certified Millwright includes:
- Working with a high-performance team dedicated to maintaining all mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings and pneumatic systems involved in the manufacturing process
- Keeping our systems running smoothly by performing preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance. This includes inspecting machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Managing your time effectively by assessing carefully and can distinguish when to assemble, move, replace, or dismantle machinery.
- Applying your knowledge, skills, and experience to troubleshoot issues, boost equipment reliability and implement safe, reliable fixes to keep the mill running
- Having great attention to detail to identify and request relevant parts to complete repairs in a timely manner
- Accountability for assisting in a safe work environment for coworkers, customers and visitors on site
For this role, you’ll come equipped with:
- Red Seal Certification as an Industrial Mechanic
- Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs
- High degree of urgency
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers
Knowledge of the lumber or industrial manufacturing process is an asset as well as experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability.
The hourly rate for this position is: $46.09
