As an Account Executive, your responsibilities will involve overseeing critical sales functions and executing sales strategies for specific markets and customer segments within Canfor. Your duties will include daily communication and effective management of order files, along with the proactive promotion of Canfor's product offerings. Working in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in achieving critical objectives and meeting sales targets.
A day in the life of the Account Executive includes:
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales targets with key strategic customers.
- Responsive to customers’ needs with diligent follow-through in all aspects of communication.
- Actively participate in providing account & market-specific inputs to all forms of supply chain and business planning processes and forecast cycles.
- Create and conduct presentations and/or proposals internally and externally with customers.
For this role, come equipped with:
- Computer literacy skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn new systems.
- The ability for occasional domestic travel.
- Demonstrated ability to execute results against strategy and meet deadlines.
In a perfect world, you also have a Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Forest Products, Sales & Marketing, or a closely related field, along with a track record of 1-3 years of experience in sales and marketing roles. For those who come with lumber sales experience, earn extra bonus points!
