Quality Control Supervisor

As our Quality Control Supervisor, you will be key in maximizing product quality and profitability by optimizing production and grade standards to meet market demands and customer needs. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will help lead the charge in maintaining the highest quality standards across our operation.

 

Your Role:

  • Oversee product checks, tests, and inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Lead monthly audits with SPIB with SPIB to ensure our products meet all requirements of American Lumber Standards.
  • Investigate customer complaints, creating corrective actions to prevent future issues.
  • Analyze quality data and provide reports to management, sales, and accounting.
  • Collaborate with management and supervisors to meet safety, quality, and cost goals.
  • Perform grade checks, maintain scanners and optimizers, and ensure product conformity.
  • Record and maintain all quality control data for audits and reporting.

 

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 2-5 years of experience in quality control, optimization, and employee supervision.
  • Exceptional communication and team-building skills, with a natural talent for leadership.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and bring a sense of urgency to everything you do.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially in quality management systems.

 

In an ideal world, you have experience or knowledge of the MSR process. Experience with Comact systems is a strong asset, as is a background in quality control and employee supervision, particularly within the sawmill industry.
