As the Operational Excellence Specialist, you will support and drive the organization's holistic approach to operational excellence at the individual site-level. You will collaborate with colleagues spanning both Canada and the United States, allowing you to make direct contributions to the organization's Safety and Sustainability Strategy. By practically implementing strategic priorities, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of excellence within Wood Product Canada.

 

A day in the life of the Operational Excellence Specialist is diverse and will be shaped by the specific needs of different divisions. This role is tailored to meet the unique requirements of each division it serves. Bring your expertise in at least ONE of these specified domains, allowing us to build off your foundation while developing the others:

  • Environmental Compliance
  • Safety
  • Sustainability
  • Continuous Improvement

 

For this role come equipped with:

  • Lean Six-Sigma
  • Excellent adaptability skills
  • Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related discipline
  • Some knowledge of regulatory bodies (environmental and safety)

 

In a perfect world, you have a background in operational safety, environmental compliance, energy management, site maintenance, and/or process improvement with a post-secondary education and professional certification in areas such as environmental management, safety, or quality management. You also have previous industrial experience.
