As an Inventory & Stores Coordinator at our WynnWood Sawmill in Wynndel, BC, you'll be the central point of coordination for our inventory, purchasing, and warehouse operations. Working closely with the Maintenance Planner, maintenance teams, vendors, buyers, and accounting partners, you'll ensure critical parts and materials are available when they're needed to keep the mill operating safely and efficiently.
No two days are the same. One day you may be receiving inventory, processing purchase orders, and coordinating vendor deliveries. The next, you may be sourcing emergency parts, supporting maintenance shutdown planning, reviewing inventory levels, or helping resolve invoicing and procurement issues. If you're highly organized, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this could be the opportunity for you.
What You Will Do
- Manage inventory and warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, issuing, transferring, and tracking materials and parts.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate min/max stock levels to support operational reliability.
- Create and manage purchase orders, stock replenishment requests, repair orders, and emergency purchases.
- Coordinate with vendors, buyers, maintenance teams, and accounting to resolve purchasing, invoicing, and inventory-related issues.
- Support maintenance planning through parts kitting, work order preparation, and inventory availability reviews.
- Manage vendor inventory programs and recommend inventory optimization opportunities.
- Facilitate repairs, returns, obsolete inventory disposal, and hazardous materials management activities.
- Participate in maintenance, planning, and cost meetings while providing inventory insights and recommendations.
What Will Help You Succeed
- Minimum two years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, warehousing, stores operations, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of maintenance environments.
- Experience working with purchasing, inventory, ERP, or procurement systems.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment.
If you're ready to put your organizational skills, inventory expertise, and customer-focused mindset to work in a safety-focused manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
