The Opportunity:

The Communications – Network Analyst is a key member of the Information Technology Department, Networking & Communications Team.  This team is responsible for planning, design, implementation and support of enterprise class data, voice and video communication systems within the organization, spanning manufacturing facilities, administrative and sales offices located in Canada, United States, Europe and Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, specify, and implement new data, voice and video communication systems and/or upgrades/expansion to existing communication systems; this includes network facilities, infrastructure, and equipment
  • Create communication system design proposals, develop supporting business cases and develop and execute detailed project plans including overseeing key project vendor partner(s)
  • Monitor service desk trouble/request tracking systems, efficiently respond to and resolve production network incidents and service requests
  • Maintain network documentation, procedures, drawings, and asset inventory
  • Position requires frequent work inside and outside of industrial manufacturing plants; working conditions vary greatly based on seasonal temperatures and condition of facilities, wearing appropriate clothing, footwear, and personal safety protection equipment (PPE) is required



  • Degree or Diploma in information technology, computer science, engineering or 2-5 years working in enterprise-class network environment plus required minimum industry training
  • Cisco CCNP Routing and Switching - certification or equivalent knowledge required
  • Cisco CCNP Collaboration or Voice - certification or equivalent knowledge desirable
  • 3-5 years enterprise-class network design, implementation, and support with large-scale multi-location Cisco based networks along with network and telecommunications experience
  • Competency with configuration, troubleshooting and management of Cisco switches, routers, wireless controllers, access points, and security servers
  • Competency with Palo Alto firewall configuration, management & support desirable
  • Analytical thinking; advanced problem-solving skills to research, analyze, and integrate network solutions; and to troubleshoot, isolate and resolve problems quickly
  • Proven experience developing networking solutions and leading successful large-scale communication projects
  • Experience working with third party vendors providing support for applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to work within a collaborative team
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, initiative, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work periodic evening and weekend hours as projects and workload dictates
  • Experience in an industrial setting is preferred but not required; however the ability to work in an industrial setting is required
  • Valid driver’s license required, valid passport desirable
  • Ability to: work from ladders, man lifts, rooftops, crawl spaces, unheated areas, and in all weather conditions; lift/carry 100lbs or less; push/pull 100lbs or less; assist with lifting up to 200lbs; bend, squat, kneel, climb, crouch, twist, turn, crawl, reach above shoulder, reach outward, walk, sit, handling/fingering, type/keyboard, drive; stand or walk for extended periods of time
