The Senior Account Executive position is responsible for acting as a Team Lead in fulfilling the required sales functions and executing sales strategies for assigned market and customer targets for Canfor. Through daily dialogue and order file management, as well as active promotion of Canfor’s products, the Senior Account Executive will lead by example and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure key objectives and sales targets are met.
A day in the life of the Sr. Account Executive includes:
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales targets with key strategic customers
- Set example for high service response levels of customers’ needs with diligent follow through in all aspects of communication
- Maintain and optimize customer order file
- Respond to omni-platform digital and phone inquiries
- Initiate direct contact as required through outgoing calls and follow-up
- Provide information on the features and benefits of our grades and species
- Lead the gathering, summarizing and communication of accurate market intelligence information
- Lead communication of customer/market demand amongst the sales team
- Lead participation in providing account and market specific inputs to all forms of supply chain and business planning processes and forecast cycles.
- Maintain a database of required sales material including current programs and initiatives
- Create and conduct presentations and/or proposals internally and externally with customers
- Active participation in sales meetings, trade shows, customer & mill visits, and special projects as required
For this role, you’ll come equipped with:
- 8+ years sales & marketing work or related experience in lumber sales
- Bachelor’s Degree/diploma in Wood Products, Sales & Marketing or a related field preferred
- Strong communication skills; verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Prioritization skills and responsiveness to sales team needs
- Demonstrated ability to execute results against strategy and meet deadlines
- Computer literacy skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn new systems
- Detailed understanding of wood products manufacturing and construction lumber
- Self-motivation and ability to undertake new challenges
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong work ethic
The salary range for this position is: $90,300.00-$129,000.00
