The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for three (3) Supply Chain Planners to be part of the dynamic Global Supply Chain department responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products from our Canadian manufacturing and North American and/or offshore distribution facilities to our key global customers. The Planner must work effectively with Internal (Operations, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance departments) and External (carriers, service providers and customers) stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and maintain the appropriate monthly, weekly and daily order files and shipping plans accounting for key supply & demand and transportation factors
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the consistent and efficient execution of order files to provide customers with top quartile on-time shipment performance
  • Managing supply chain decisions that will have direct impact on Key Performance Indicators for on-time shipment, transportation spend, working capital, inventory levels, operational costs and service delivery to customers and to ensure the consistent and efficient execution of their customer and supply chain replenishment order files
  • Discretionary responsibility to resolve production and shipping issues with focus on mitigating customer, operational and financial impacts


Skills & Education:

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Wood Sciences or a related field would be an asset
  • Previous experience in the forest products industry, in supply chain, manufacturing or sales and marketing would help you in your success


Skills & Abilities

  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
  • Well organized, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Strong computer skills and solid background working with modern office software and reporting tools
  • Forward thinking and innovative, with an ability to research, analyze and evaluate components of supply chain processes
