The Opportunity:

The Manager, Corporate Systems is responsible for optimizing business performance by enhancing the alignment between business processes and information technology, building and sustaining a customer focused, process-managed IT services team. The Corporate Systems team plans, delivers and supports Human Resources, Payroll, Safety, and Intranet/Document Management systems for the all divisions of the Company. 

 

The Manager focuses on the human, organizational and value stream aspects of business processes, their transformation and operation. Gains consensus on new concepts and builds coalitions to move improvement plans forward.  Acts as a change agent to implement and manage best practices across the enterprise.  Identifies business performance and incentive metrics to ensure that continuous, sustained improvement takes place across the enterprise.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal customer-facing planning and demand management for the functional groups the team supports.
  • Manage application development, and support
  • Accountable for operational requirements gathering, design, and delivery for HR, Payroll, Safety, and Intranet/Document Management platforms.
  • Manages release and deployment management in conjunction with the IT Operations team to ensure high quality services and service transition for customers.
  • Manages all application related support requests escalated from the Service Delivery team. 

 

Key Contacts:

  • Line reporting relationship: General Manager, Information Technology
  • Functional reporting relationship:
  • Supervises a tean if 4 full time employees, including Business Systems Analysts an Developers
  • Internal relationships with: Human Resources, Payroll, Safety teams, Public Affairs, Legal and other intranet/document management stakeholders.
  • External relationships with: Software vendors and consulting firms

 

Accountabilities:

  1. Project delivery for assigned projects
  2. Staff performance management and development
  3. Solution delivery and sustainment according to service level objectives
  4. Client/customer satisfaction for areas served
  5. System integrity and performance
  6. Operating expenditures for the service area

 

Required Skills:

Education:    

  • Degree (or Diploma) in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Project management certification an asset (PMP, Prince2, or similar)

 

Experience:

  • Experience effectively leading and managing a technology team
  • Progressive experience in technology positions, preferably application support, development and project delivery
  • Demonstrated experience managing delivery of enterprise-wide multi-stakeholder projects
  • Supporting human resources, payroll, safety, intranet and corporate document management systems
  • Preferably technical experience with an enterprise HRIS and payroll system, preferably SAP Successfactors and payroll
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team skills
