The Opportunity:

The Coordinator, Supply Chain will be part of the dynamic team responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of products from our manufacturing and reload facilities to our key global customers. The Coordinator must work effectively with Operations, Transportation, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Reload Operations.  Having a positive impact on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) will be key to the role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and maintain the appropriate monthly, weekly and daily order files, accounting for key supply, demand, production and transportation factors
  • Responsible for preparing demand forecasts, working closely with sales on the required adjustments and approvals
  • Direct mill production personnel and 3rd party Reload Operators on the requirements to ensure the consistent and efficient execution of their customer and supply chain replenishment order files
  • Responsible for the weekly replenishment of customer, Offshore, Home Center and supply chain reload inventories
  • Key role with managing the supply chain decisions that will have direct impact on KPI’s for on-time shipment, working capital and operational costs
  • Key liaison with the manufacturing facilities and 3rd party reload operations to facilitate the timely delivery of product to our customers. Ensure inventories are kept at target, facilitating the required actions with Sales, Product Supply and Transportation personnel as required
  • Determine required action for customer and replenishment order assignment to ensure we deliver customer service excellence
  • Discretionary responsibility to resolve production and shipping issues with focus on mitigating customer, operational and financial impacts
  • Active role in the multi-discipline team responsible for meeting transportation volume agreements while staying within operational capacities
  • Ability to make quick calculated supply chain decisions that have large impact on key areas of the business
  • Actively engaged to provide the resource support necessary to the supply chain teams throughout the entire supply chain process
  • The successful candidate will liaise with senior management and key personnel in other departments to ensure that the business moves forward.  Participation in tactical meetings will be required


Required Skills & Education:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Business Administration, Wood Science or Supply Chain Management
  • Previous experience in the lumber or pulp industry, in manufacturing or supply chain management is ideal

  • Strong computer skills and solid background working with modern office software and reporting tools

  • Dedication to a continuous improvement process
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
