As the Business System Analyst, you will assist the Lead, People Systems at Canfor. This role collaborates with Payroll, Operations, IT, and product vendors to enhance business systems by leveraging technology, analytics, and process design. You're entrepreneurial, highly analytical, and effective at influencing change and delivering leading practice initiatives.
The life of the Business Systems Analyst includes:
- Provide key support in the sustainment, optimization, and enhancement of Canfor’s US and Canadian time capture and scheduling systems (UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM)), including configuration, implementation, and technical/process support.
- Serve as a primary liaison among business, IT, and vendor stakeholders to gather requirements, manage support tickets, coordinate change control and release management, and ensure timely completion of initiatives and projects.
- Develop, execute, and document comprehensive test plans for system changes, upgrades or implementations, including unit, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Facilitate process mapping, root cause analysis, and the development of recommendations and project deliverables (e.g., current/future state analysis, process documentation, business enablement plans).
- Support business teams in developing and rolling out related processes, policies, and training to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate project activities, including project management support, communication, and organization of workshops and meetings.
- Prepare and deliver project materials, metrics, and KPIs to support business objectives.
For this role, come equipped with:
- University degree in business, technology, or a related field, with a focus on digital transformation and continuous improvement.
- 2–4 years’ experience with UKG Time Systems (UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) – Dimensions, Workforce Central) in configuration, implementation, and support, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Experience supporting interfaces to and from UKG systems; familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors ECP/EC, Dell Boomi, or similar middleware is an asset.
- Hands-on experience with timekeeping and scheduling configuration, integration management, API/SFTP, reporting/dataviews, accruals, and UKG Activities module.
- Experience with PGP encryption, time clocks, biometrics, and basic networking/VNC.
- Background in management or digital transformation consulting, and project management or business analysis certifications, are assets.
Ideally, you also possess hands-on experience with systems such as SuccessFactors Employee Central, UKG Workforce Central, UKG Dimensions, or Dell Boomi. Additionally, a background in management or digital transformation consulting would be valuable. Having certifications in Project Management or Business Analysis would be considered advantageous.

The salary range for this position is: $70,000.00-$100,000.00, based upon experience level.
