Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily user support for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications (Sales Order, Procurement, Manufacturing, AP, AR, G/L, Inventory, Interoperability, etc.) including customizations
  • Develop an understanding of our core ERP System (JDE) and supporting systems (OTM, Custom .Net Applications)
  • Maintain effective communication with business and IT department staff throughout the enterprise, building positive working relationships
  • Engage with business users to gain knowledge and understanding of business processes and practices
  • Continually enhance documentation and procedures to effectively resolve issues within Canfor’s defined service level objectives
  • Analyze incidents to determine criticality, causes and impact on other areas
  • Monitor and address issues related to integrity reporting
  • Provide on-call support (in rotation)
  • Adhere to Canfor’s ITIL service guidelines
  • Other related duties as assigned


Education and Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience in the following would be an asset:
    • Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)
    • Wood products manufacturing industry
    • Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
    • Enterprise Integration Architecture tools such as webMethods
  • Experience providing end user support

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies
  • Self-starter who is highly organized and learns quickly
  • Ability to work in a team environment
