Supervisor/Planner, Fab Shop Maintenance - Pulp


The Opportunity:
Canfor is currently seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Fab Shop Maintenance Supervisor/Planner.

The Role:
As a Maintenance Fab Shop Maintenance Supervisor/Planner, you will apply your knowledge of pulp mill processes/equipment and mechanical trades to co-ordinate and monitor all aspects of regular maintenance activities. Also, with safety as a first priority, you will supervise multi-trade crews engaged in project fabrication, installation, troubleshooting and regular maintenance work on a day-to-day basis.


The Candidate:

  • You promote a safe work environment and ensure safety work orders are met by team members
  • You will have, at minimum, post-secondary education in a technical field or a trade qualification, preferably in the welding and pipefitting trades.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a union setting would be considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills as well as the flexibility to handle constantly changing work priorities are essential.
  • You continually meet deadlines with quality and timely results
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
