(Temporary) Administrator, Occupational Health & Safety

Posting ID:     21006
Position Type:    Temporary
City:   Prince George, BC, Canada
Location:   Northwood Pulp (BC18)

Canfor’s strength comes from the diversity of our skilled and resilient workforce. As our company continues to grow and diversify, so do our career opportunities. Let us take this opportunity to tell you how you could be the best fit for Canfor.

Safety Administrator - Canfor Pulp (Temporary)

You are a Safety Focused, Administrative Superstar.  Using your analytical approach to problem solving you are a determined and self-actualized problem solver.  As an advanced Microsoft Excel user you are armed with an in-depth comprehension of the program and its functions, allowing you to create compound and complex formulas and pivot tables so fast that it would make our heads spin.  In addition, your reporting is second only your ability to communicate and your passion for safety, both of which are coupled with an understanding that sound business decisions are based on data.  You pride yourself on your ability to disseminate, reassemble and present raw data in a way that engages stakeholders and leads the business in a clear direction.

So are you our ideal candidate?  You are an experienced and well-rounded administrative professional and you get extra bonus points for your experience with new employee indoctrination and training programs.  While a history working in a safety role in an industrial environment is certainly valuable, it isn’t critical.   What is critical is your expert understanding of Excel and the associated Microsoft offerings and the ability to assemble and present to stakeholders.  We have a very complex business, so experience within a complex manufacturing setting would be considered an asset.

If you're interested in what a role with Canfor can do for your career you are encouraged to apply for this position today.  Posting will close no later than Sunday, July 25th.  While we expect this position to have a duration of 6 months, there is a possibility for extension which is dependent on the needs of the business.

You owe it to yourself to learn what makes Canfor different and why we are consistently rated amongst BC’s Best Employers.  Come and build your career with Canfor!
