As a Production worker at Canfor Pulp, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Working safely and efficiently in accordance with all safety policies and procedures
  • Performing repetitive, manual tasks for extended periods of time, including standing for long hours, walking, climbing stairs, bending, shoveling chips, sweeping, running hoses, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Identifying, analyzing, and troubleshooting operational issues
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Collaborating effectively with team members to meet production goals
  • Supporting daily production activities while following a shift work rotating schedule

 

 

For this role, you’ll come equipped with the following:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of industrial work experience and/or equivalent training (e.g., OFA3, grading ticket, or similar)
  • Availability to work shiftwork in a continuous operations environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • A positive attitude with a self-starter mindset
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment and perform physically demanding tasks (including standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs)
  • A strong safety mindset and attention to detail

 

The following would be considered assets:

  • 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineering certification
  • Pulp and paper technical courses
  • Experience working with or around machinery and equipment
