The Opportunity

Reporting to the Supervisor of Centralized Woodlands Services, the Fibre Coordinator will be responsible for tracking log deliveries and processing contractor pay using the LIMS system.  The Fibre Coordinator provides timely and accurate information for internal stakeholders as well as external reporting for contractors and government.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balancing daily log deliveries to scales.
  • Uploading delivery and sample information to the Harvest Billing System.
  • Daily clearing of any delivery, sample and pay exceptions.
  • Weekly and monthly reconciliations of log deliveries and samples. 
  • Maintaining tables in LIMS related to customers, contractors, timber marks, blocks, fuel rates etc.
  • Accurate data entry of rates related to logging, purchase agreements and sales.
  • Processing logging contractor pay within strict preset time frames.  At times overtime may be required.
  • Main contact for logging contractors, logging supervisors, and divisional accountants for contractor pay.

 

 

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will bring the following experience and expertise:

      •  
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, including the ability to work in a dynamic team environment and under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced computer skills, emphasis on Excel and LIMS.
  • Commitment to continuous process improvement.
  • Previous experience with woodlands would be an asset.
  • Preference may be given to individuals with post secondary Finance education.
