Digester Team Lead

Posting ID:     21874
Position Type:    Regular/Full-Time
City:   Prince George, BC, Canada
Location:   Northwood Pulp (BC18)

Sure, there are plenty of companies out there looking for great supervisors, so what sets Canfor apart?  We’re the only one looking for YOU.

You’re an industry leader and much like us, our Pulp mills need you for just that reason.  You belong here because you get stuff done. You get people.  When you walk through that door and the urgency ramps up, you’re in it.  You’re the person who, when the going gets tough and production is on the line, can navigate this role safely and with purpose.  It’s what makes you a great leader of people and it’s what we expect of our Area Leads.

Much like yourself, Canfor doesn’t compromise.  Our Area Leads are ambassadors of their people and of the company itself.  If you’re going to be successful here, you’re going to understand the importance of balancing production, maintenance, and your team’s needs while being accountable to our safety culture.

You bring several years of supervisory experience in a unionized, industrial environment and, ideally, a trade qualification as this role handles the planning and scheduling all maintenance activities including annual maintenance outages. What will really put you over the top is your willingness to get out from behind the desk, balancing your professionalism and confidence with a dash of humility. If this describes you, Canfor Pulp is the right fit for you.  Come find out why Canfor is consistently rated amongst BC’s best employers.  At Canfor, we’re innovators in the forest products industry and if you are too, it’s time to grow your career working alongside some of the best and brightest in the business.

Our Talent Acquisition team is actively recruiting on this role and in order to be considered, please apply today!

At Canfor, diversity means understanding, recognizing and valuing the differences that make each person unique. We see inclusion and diversity as an essential part of our productivity, creativity, innovation and competitive advantage. We strive for a fair and equitable recruitment process, where hiring decisions are based on the individual qualifications and experience of each applicant.

We are not your run of the mill forest products company, join us and find out why. #canfortalent
