The Opportunity:
Canfor is currently seeking motivated and experienced individuals to join our team as Temporary Certified Millwrights to assist in our annual mill maintenance shutdown in the Spring of 2020.  Further information regarding dates will follow. Dates are subject to change

The Role:
As a Certified Millwright you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation & modification of all pulp mill related equipment to safely maximize, uptime, quality and productivity.

Required Skills:

  • Red seal or Interprovincial TQ
  • Superior troubleshooting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Solid background in heavy industry and construction
  • Knowledge of the pulp and paper industry is an asset as well as experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability
  • Previous shutdown/maintenance outage experience is also considered an asset
  • Please be aware ahat ALL Temporary tradespersons are required to provide their own tools

Living out Allowance:

Canfor will provide living out allowance to successful out of town trades candidates hired for our shutdown.


Background Checks:

Successful candidates may be required to complete a background check prior to being hired on at Canfor. You must be willing to complete this in order to be considered for the role.
