The Opportunity:


Canfor is currently seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Weighmaster. This is a seasonal hauling position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weigh and scale inbound/ outbound logging trucks
  • Tag  loads/participate in scale to scan
  • Data entry and prepare daily reports as requested
  • Separate and provide the contractor copy of weight tickets to Contractors.
  • Maintain platform scale in working order and perform a daily scale accuracy check.
  • Housekeeping of scale and scale house
  • Monitor safety of the work environment
  • Other general duties as required

 

The Candidate:

  • Candidates should have computer Proficiency, self-starter and have the ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Lifting up to 10lbs regularly, lifting 25lbs occasionally, and lifting up 50lbs as needed
  • Computer Proficiency
  • Experience with Scales, record keeping and logs
  • Log Quality identification experience
  • Knowledge of the forest industry
  • Knowledge and experience with a scale system is considered an asset
  • Valid B.C Driver’s License
  • Scaler/Acting scaler license would be considered an asset
