As our Dry Kiln Supervisor, you’ll lead a skilled crew of Dry Kiln Technicians, Boiler Operators, and Forklift Operators, driving performance and safety across our boiler and kiln operations. You’ll be at the heart of our production process—keeping things running smoothly, solving problems on the fly, and inspiring your team to reach new heights. This is a full-time role with 12-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday, and occasional flexibility for nights and weekends.
What You’ll Do:
- Champion safety by maintaining high standards and ensuring full compliance with policies and regulations.
- Lead, coach, and support your team to deliver top-tier performance in kiln and boiler operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with preventative maintenance to keep operations running efficiently.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of lumber with precision and care.
- Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to meet and exceed operational goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and boost productivity.
- Foster a culture of open communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring:
- 5–10 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment, with a strong safety-first mindset.
- Solid understanding of heating systems, boilers, and power equipment; kiln experience in lumber manufacturing is a strong asset.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive team performance in high-paced settings.
- Strong computer proficiency, including web-based tools and Microsoft Office.
- Maintenance experience is a plus.
- Grade 12 diploma, GED, or equivalent training (e.g., OSHA tickets, forklift certification).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
