The Opportunity:
Our Canfor Fort St. John Woodlands division is currently seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Field Operations Crew Leader. 

The Role:
This positions will be responsible for layout and/or timber cruising activities. Responsibilities may include photo interpretation and stratification, layout of cutblocks and roads, traversing, pest identification and management, riparian/stream classification, layout reports, cutting permit applications, 
development of site level plans and harvest plans, development of cruise plans, operational cruising and mapping of field information, ecotyping, field resource assessments and assisting Forestry Supervisors as required.

 

The Candidate:

  • Preference will be given to applicants enrolled or graduated from a forestry program or related field, however anyone with forestry experience is encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Has the ability to safely perform physically demanding fieldwork in a team environment, and possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
