The Opportunity:

 

As a Lube Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining our equipment and ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine – literally! You’ll be responsible for lubricating machinery, performing routine maintenance, and helping prevent breakdowns. This role is a full-time permanent position working the evening shift Monday through Friday.

 

What you will do as a Lube Technician:

 

    • Regularly lubricate all machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and checking fluid levels.
    • Conduct regular machinery inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
    • Maintain accurate records of all lubrication and maintenance activities.
    • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safety working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
    • Assist with diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues as they arise.
    • Keep track of lubrication supplies and ensure timely reordering to prevent shortages.
    • Work closely with mechanics, operators, and other team members to support overall maintenance efforts.

 

Experience and skills that will help you stand out:

 

    • Previous experience as a lube technician or in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a sawmill or industrial setting.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various types of machinery equipment.
    • Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough lubrication and maintenance.
    • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
    • Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to think on your feet.
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
    • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training in mechanics a related field is a plus.
