As the Supervisor in Training, you will work in a developmental role that reports to assigned mentors. This position will offer a unique experience where professional skills will be applied in an operating manufacturing environment.  Under the guidance of leadership, you will assist in maintaining the highest standards of safety at all times, address unsafe conditions and lead by example, ensuring all employees follow policies, procedures, and practices. You will also assist in identifying opportunities to reduce costs and actively participate in coaching, training, and supporting team members to maximize performance. Learning will be hands on and you will gain firsthand supervisory experience and leadership development at one of BC’s Top Employers.

In a perfect world, you have your high school diploma and prior experience in heavy industry, specifically working in sawmills and/or kilns. A past in Lumber Grading and experience leading cross-functional teams, “wood” be amazing as well. For bonus points, you are technically savvy since our modern sawmills incorporate tons of automation, AI and even robotics!
